The biggest exhibition on games takes place in Cologne, Germany every year. The Gamescom is an unforgettable event for those who can get tickets. One of the most popular games this year was EVOLVE where four players play against one. One is the monster and can only be defeated if the other four players, who are the hunters, work together.

This article is a reflexion on two talks that were part of the MMVC14 Moodle moocs virtual conference 2014 I will start with the many possibilities teachers have to use 3D worlds in class. The great insight into what possibilities there are and how to use them comes from David Deeds, an English teacher with experience worldwide. In his online talks he informs and shows how virtual worlds can be used for teaching different subjects.

The target of my latest MOOC on Gamification Design was to find out what type of gamers we were, after seven weeks of hard work and further study in psychological effects of games and other interesting sides of gamification, we learned something about the application of game features to real life experiences in order to enhance life, work and even learning environments. I then came to the conclusion that taking part in the mooc entitles anyone to say that they have been around. It was enlightening to be able to learn and share so much with other people especially non-teachers. It was a true adventure in the world of moocs.
